I had a telephone conversation with Mr. Ramtane Lamamra, the Personal Envoy of the UN Secretary-General for Sudan, we addressed the ongoing developments in our country and the severe humanitarian challenges facing our people.
We discussed the critical situation in North Darfur State, including the deliberate and systematic SAF barrel bombings that have targeted not only innocent civilians but also livestock.
I assured Mr. Lamamra that we are exercising our legitimate right to self-defense in response to the aggression that we have faced since this war began, and we will continue to defend ourselves on all fronts.
Furthermore, I emphasized our commitment to alleviating the suffering experienced by our people. I reiterated our readiness to work closely with the UN and relevant humanitarian organizations to facilitate the delivery of aid to those in need across our country.
